We are getting ready to buy a used Sunnybrook 5th wheel... We found it at a local RV consignment lot... This will be our very first RV purchase... Is the consignment lot responsible for doing the inspection or do we need to hire an outside source? Thanks in advance....
Hire your own inspection and he represents your best interest.

In our search for our last RV I had the house and chassis inspected by a reliable RV repair place after I inspected it myself. It was $250 well spent. One could go broke having prospective RVs inspected that have major issues. It is good to weed out obvious non starters yourself before you get the peace of mind inspection.
I am NOT a mechanic although I do play one in my garage!
If you were buying a house, would you have the house seller hire the house inspector or would you hire your own house inspector? Having said that, RV inspectors are usually harder to find than house inspectors.
