Hello,

I NEED A RV INSPECTOR IN Richmond, Va. area!!!!! If you know of any, please advise. Also, what would be the standard cost of an inspection?

I'm new to RV'ing and I need to get a Class A Diesel Pusher Motor-home inspected ASAP. I live in the Richmond, VA area as I stated, and I need a professional on a 340 Hp Cummins diesel as well as the structure itself.

2008 Forest River Berkshire 360QS
Please any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Kcee

Check out McGeorge Rolling Hills RV in Ashland, VA. They inspected our coach last month. (804-550-7323)

We just go to a regular Virginia State Inspection station here in King George and sometimes out in Montross where the service station guys are more down to earth.

If you want a RV SMART place the SAFFORD RV place in Thornburg South on I95 is a good bunch. Exit 118 I think it i s Friendly folks there as well...

Why?
There are no recognized standards for an RV inspector and his opinion has no guaranty. Much like a home inspector the quality you get is a toss up and if something is missed Oh Well to bad so sad.
First find a good mobile RV mechanic to come look the rig over with you. Then Find the manufacturer of the motor/chassis and take it there for an engine power train inspection.

If you choose wisely you will find 2 places to service your rig for you.

Find the mobile mechanic by calling a local big RV resort/campground and ask who the recommend.

You can also try RVservicereviews.com to find someone.

Additionally go to the local flying j and buy one of the oil analysis kits they sell. Put the oil in the container ship it off and get a report back that will be pretty thorough on the engine condition.

The last person I would use is a inspection service

RV inspections are the same as regular vehicle inspections and cost the same. Anyone who does VA state inspections can do it.

Edit: Or do you mean you wish to have an rv inspected structurally and mechanically for purchase like one would do a home inspection?
