Sunforce Solar Charger/House Battery
I have a 2013 Thor Chateau with a 30 amp Sunforce solar controller with solar panels on the roof. I know absolutely nothing about these things...
Should I use the house battery disconnect when not using the MH for a while?
I live in sunny California and have never used the battery disconnect but we just had a couple of cloudy/rainy days and this morning when I went out the house battery had shut off, I guess the circuitry cut off due to low battery voltage. It appears fine now that I have run the engine for a good while to charge the house battery. The controller is currently showing that it is charging now that the solar array is getting some sun.
I was under the impression that I should not have to use the disconnect since I have solar panels permanently installed on the roof.
I'd appreciate any opinions or advise concerning this situation.
