Travel Trailer Bed

Hi Folks,
that's for the earlier help on Travel trailers....Im beginning to narrow my search...those Casitas really caught my eye but can really blow up my 15k budget but seem leak proof...Im still loving the Shasta 61 retro too!
I have been looking at many but a type also caught my eye is a trailer with a fold out bed, on one end or both ends of the trailer which gives more interior room.
Question: Are the fold out beds cracked up to what they appear to be or is the fabric problematic with tears, leaks zippers sticking etc? If anyone has one, would you do it again?
I really like the idea of the extra space, but if its simply not worth having the trailer with fold out beds, I can adjust to a "standard" type trailer too.
Thanks again!
Gavin
  • As was said, check out the Hybrid TT section here.
We've had our hybrid for nearly 9 years and still love it.
Would buy another but we're now retired and will be moving to a bigger TT or 5th wheel.

Most hybrid owners are former popup owners but want more amenities. But they want to continue the sleeping under canvases experience.

Do some have problems? Sure but all types of RVs have lemons.

Ours has been relatively problem free.
and our tent ends have never leaked.

You should probably post what you'll be towing with, to figure if it's capable of towing one.
because it appears that it may be limited, due to the trailers you mentioned.
  • For clarity the type of trailer you're describing is a Hybrid. There is a section on the site specific to them.

I haven't used one, so I can't comment on how easy they are to care for.
