Traveling in Colorado
We are traveling from Colorado Springs to Grand Lake, Co. pulling a 30 ft. travel trailer. Anyone know the easiest route to take for first timer out of state camper travel? I thought hwy. 24 to hwy....

Sorry, go around Denver on C470 W.
Mostly this, but I would actually take more time and go up Highway 9 from Silverthorne and approach it on 40 from the west. Easier for someone who isn't familiar with the grades here. I'd also advise to avoid 470 during rush hour if you can help it.
PS, there's a gas station in Silverthorne that is longer camper friendly, it's the Sinclair just to the north of the outlet mall. Cheaper than the Shell station that is right off the highway and easier access. We stop there anytime we are traveling along I-70.
