Since you just bought it and its in good shape and the DW wants it gone. Sell it while you can to get the most for it.
I too think renting it out is a bad idea.
Deposit won't cover damages. Cost to insure would be astronomical if you could even get it.
If you, for some reason did rent it out, what happens when the renter drives it across country and it breaks down or is in an accident and they walk away. I'd be leary of an RV rental company's insurance to repair or replace in a timely fashion. I'm sure there may be a few on here that have used an RV rental Co.
I hope they chime in with their views good or bad.

I'd call RVshare.com to asks lots of questions. I see many RV's there in my local area but unsure how the damage control works.
