want to put my rv into rental agency, which one is best?

I just bought a class C short RV, already have a 5th wheel and wife doesn't like the C its a great previous rental, 2017 in perfect shape. Ive decided to justify keeping this beauty I would rent it out and see how that goes.
But with so many scams out there I'm looking for the best one that is out there. I've been approached from a few questionable individuals and I want to be careful. thanks, any help is appreciated. I just joined and not sure how well this works. Please respond here or email me at chucky713@aol.com

To answer the OPs question and not tell them what a bad idea it is,or otherwise take the thread sideways,as often happens to new members.

The largest one that is nationwide is RV Share,I would check them out and then make a decision based on what info that they give you.

If you really want to keep it, you might consider parking it in a nice RV park and list it on Airbnb. We stayed in a very nice fifth wheel in Moab a few weeks ago. It was less expensive than most hotels, and had the benefit of a kitchenette, dinette, and a toilette :). The unit was spotless when we arrived, and in very good shape.
I don't understand how the owner made money unless he bought several at one time and had a deal with the camp ground, but that's his business.

Since you just bought it and its in good shape and the DW wants it gone. Sell it while you can to get the most for it.
I too think renting it out is a bad idea.
Deposit won't cover damages. Cost to insure would be astronomical if you could even get it.
If you, for some reason did rent it out, what happens when the renter drives it across country and it breaks down or is in an accident and they walk away. I'd be leary of an RV rental company's insurance to repair or replace in a timely fashion. I'm sure there may be a few on here that have used an RV rental Co.
I hope they chime in with their views good or bad.
I would not rent mine out but others might.
I'd call RVshare.com to asks lots of questions. I see many RV's there in my local area but unsure how the damage control works.

+1 on Dutchmen's comment. I own rental properties and deal with that stuff all the time.

Have a good friend who owns a banquet hall and I happened to have to use the men's room one time and I noticed a wall decoration was ctooked so I attempted to straighten it. Would not move. I asked about it and my friend told me that everything is screwed down or it would vanish. he told me that one time the renters tried to rip out the stall dividers. Common stuff is toilet paper rolls in the toilets and numerous flushes to make them overflow, stealing tableware and glasses, cigarette burns on seats and grafitti on walls... He dings them for everything.

He takes a healthy security deposit from every rental and they don't get it back if they do any damage plus the healthy hall rental fee.

He's a really great guy but has to be a DH because people don't give a hoot today.

Same applies to your RV. You will be sick from just the first rental. Do yourself a favor and sell it. You'll be farther ahead with a lot less grief. Life is too short for that stuff. If I didn't have lot of equity in my rentals, I'd sell all of them too. Constant PITA.

As much as I don't like saying it, owning a rental anything can make you really dislike people.

If you have no use for the extra camper now, just sell it and be done with it. Renting it out is a very, very, very bad idea. Not everyone thinks like you do, and probably first time out, it will come back destroyed! Oh, you'll keep the deposit for sure! But it will cost you many times over the deposit to fix the camper, just so you can THEN sell it!

Get rid of it now while you can and keep the wife happy! That camper will always be a source of irritation to your wife, and next thing you know ... well ... now thinking about it, you may want to keep it after all. You may find yourself sleeping in it alone!

Doubt if the rental income would pay for the insurance (your present insurance won't cover this), damages done, and the cut the rental agency gets.
