The answer is no. It uses a rubber ring.
You had to know enough plumbing to know what a wax ring is used for. - DougEExplorerThose rubber rings are great. I've even used one on a problematic back outlet house toilet (smeared a little of the regular wax on it, too). (And, geeze, I hate the language police on forums!)
