What do you keep in your RV?

We un pack food and clothes. Wash linens and towels then back in tt. Dishes, cook ware, plates, silverware stay in. As do flashlights, tools etc.

I used to keep clothes in the RV, but then I found that since I never knew what was in there, I'd always pack some clothes for each trip. Eventually I wouldn't have any clothes left in the house because everything was out in the motorhome. So I quit doing that, other than I have some jackets and sweatshirts that stay all the time in the motorhome.

Pots and pans, kitchen utensils, linens and bedding, a couple lawn chairs, etc. All stuff that was surplus household goods at the 40 year point in our life together, i.e. very little bought "for the RV."

No foods or other perishables. Most of the camping equipment comes out because I use it also picnicing and tent camping. Tools come out, get used at home, put in other vehicles for non-RV road trips.

If you are snowbirding or full timing, answers are different. Full timing, by strict definition, everything you own is always with you in the RV.

No Sir, we go once a month in the warmer months in the north.. and a full 5 months in the south.. (snow birds)...

Ditto no foodstuffs were left in the RV.
When we were getting ready for a trip I used bins to grab and go:
Shallow bins for food in fridge.
Bins for dry food and canned goods.
Bag for meds and bathroom stuff.
Bin for shoes that weren't left in the RV.
As we filled the bins we staged them by the door. If we didn't want to take the bins with us, we emptied them and returned them to the house or garage.
Everything else was left in the RV: clothes, linens, appliances, kitchen gadgets, paper towels, etc. We went to Walmart and the Dollar Store to get organization stuff and plastic ware.

Boy have you got that right about "cardboard boxes". Especially if you are parked in the south or traveling in the south.

Thank god a Floridian told me about cardboard boxes. Their Palmetto bugs I.E. giant cockroaches are drawn to cardboard like a magnet.

As things currently stand I keep nothing in an RV cuz I don't have one yet. Oops.
What I think I'll store in it upon delivery?
Non food camping gear and dinnerware.

Not thinking about items like paper towels or tp since rodents like to use them for nests.

that is hard to say... 200 pounds to 1,000.

for a weekend, a week, a month.. or all winter.? I do all of it.

2 weeks of clothes for 2.. and food for a week .. gets heavy. FAST.
and if I need to fill the fresh water tank. 40 gallons times 7 = 280
