when boondocking do you bring a weapon ?
we will have our dog,,,who doesn't miss a trick and will cause a problem IF she needs to protect,,,but I was thinking of carrying a shotgun too,,,any problems doing that ?? I have a NY pistol license ...

No problem with shot gun except in New Jersey. They are going above and beyond.
I recommend carrying Bear spray and Wasp Spray as well as a shotgun.
The perfect choice for less than lethal necessities. PLus some parks do not allow firearms NEW YORK STATE PARKS for example and sitting outside in a boondocking situation with a shotgun can raise law enforcement eyebrows. Sitting outside with WASP SPRAY or Bear spray will not bring any untoward attention. P
Bear spray is legal even in New York for use on an animal.
A healthy squirt of Wasp Spray in somethings face will deter it from coming any further. Wasp Spray shoots a stream up to 15 feet
