do you have anyone here that can help gather the essentials before you arrive? (pots, pans, silverware, sheets, ...) Don't know if that is useful. my DW would like to be actively involved in their selection.
just thinking of how to reduce the big startup workload.
I'm in awe of your plan. In the 90's, when I worked for IBM, I had a chance at a 2 yr assignment in Sydney, but prior marriage kid school impact of 1/2 yr off schedule deterred me. Looking back it would have been a heck of an experience for all.

I forgot to mention that I did have 3 wonderful (work!) trips to your country, but never made it to Perth. My wife was able to join me on one.
