Windshield problem

I have had windshield replaced by freightliner in my 2000 Newmarket and it is not fitting right in t top corners and they have put it in 2 times and they are now saying that I need to take it to a Newmarket deals. So l called the company and they said it was not braced when the windshield was installed.I feel I am getting the runaround. Can someone help me with some suggestions. Thanks
  • In my opinion, the best in the RV windshield business is Duncan Systems in Elkhart, IN. They were recently bought out by Lippert but they are still the same people and shops. I, too, was having troubles and getting conflicting answers about sealing in tight vs "floating" in the rubber gasket. Bottom line, their glass guys do this all day every day and know what they're doing. The end result on mine was that it needed to be sealed in tight and have had no problem since.
  • Find an auto/truck glass shop that works on RV's. Check with RV dealers and see who they use for their glass repairs.

You need someone who has experience and knows what they are doing.
I once had a problem with the windshield on our 96 Southwind, the top corners were coming loose.
A glass shop properly reset the windshields, no more problems.
