I do not want satellite TV in my permanent home. RV has a Wineguard system that came with it. We travel one month at a time and would like satellite TV. Who do I contact, how can I get service a month at a time without installing in house?

Dish makes the Tailgater which is self peaking, plug and play when you hook up the receiver.

I know you said you're not interested in satellite TV in your house, but it's really makes it more affordable. Most people don't know/realize that the cable TV they get in their home is only 720P, whereas DirecTV is 1080P. For TV aficionados, that's a huge improvement in clarity.

I am currently in the market for a 19-24 inch set and was comparing the 1080 to 720s. no big difference IMHO.

I know you don't want direct tv in your house, but my son is an installer for them and he got me a receiver from ebay and had it added on to our house bill for only a few dollars a month. then he set me up with a dish and showed me how to aim and all that stuff when traveling. now just because my son works for them, don't think you can't do it. just call and a tech will do this for you too. all you have to do is order the reciter from ebay.

DirecTV will allow you to put the service on vacation (with limits). If The RV is setup for satellite all you need is the receiver from DirecTV. Just get service, order the receiver (make sure it's compatible with your dish type) and tell them you do not need installation. Hook it up yourself with the instructions provided. Very easy to do.

Directv does not really offer a month to month plan like that. You can install the hardware for Directv or Dish yourself, or get them to install it in the RV. You don't have to get it in the house.

I use DirecTv. I even had them do the install in my travel trailer, giving me four places to watch TV. I just got a normal account using my home address and I have them suspend my account at the beginning of November and re activate it at the end of March.

Contact Dish Network, they offer the service you are seeking. You must purchase the needed Sat dish, receiver etc up front.
