2007 Toyota Avalon

Loaded our 2007 Toyota onto our Demco dolly which does have a pivot pin (pulled). Didn't seem like much as we completed loading, put car in Neutral (as car manual says). Car wouldn't lock and a beeping sound from car if you walked away with FOB? Put in car, no beep? Ok..
BUT, stopping for night, got nothing, just couple lights on dash?
Put charger on but lights all (not main headlights) were "glowing". Nothing "on" as far as lights.
One thing I noticed, the steering wheel will not "lock" when in park position?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks.

I agree, I checked, now politely tell your wife it wasn't there. Alls great , traveled test of time in park. Parking brake off!

I just looked in the 2007 Avalon owner's manual. I didn't find any mention about putting the tranny in neutral for dolly towing. You should recheck the manual.

Unfortunately as we loaded car ( taken on trips before) she said " oh the manual says to leave in neutral) a friend, owns his own ship, said same thing, in neutral ran the battery down. Charger on it now, hope it didn't screw up the key fob.

You left the car on and ran down your battery - maybe to the point where you will have to replace it.

You made some mistakes with your setup. Since your Demco tow dolly has pivoting wheels, you can place your Avalon on the dolly, tighten the straps, put the transmission in park (leave the emergency brake off), remove the key, lock the doors and have a nice drive.
