Yes, they were capable trucks. Ford has had a few falsely badged 150s too. Like BenK mentioned, if folks would forget about the badges, and see the numbers for what they are.
In the OPs case, he clearly stated his numbers, and it was obvious the rig would be a good match. It only takes one poster to confuse things. Like I agreed, everyone is entitled to their opinion, that's what a forum is for.
I try to ignore a members post, that is not, and has not been making sense. He may have med issues, or other problems, causing the confusion, and I truly do wish him well.
I do think the OP had plenty of good response to answer his question.
