AC Condensation

On humid damp days what can be done to stop the condensation from dripping from the roof air? I thought it was just the rain running in, but after drying it well and not running the ac no more water and it is still pouring rain outside.
Thanks for any help you can give.

I think I mentioned this somewhere.
Our A/C was dripping inside. Eventual diagnosis was that it had been screwed together too tightly and the cross drain was not draining. It was redone with a new foam gasket or something and it's been good ever since.

Is this condensation all over the a/c panel, or leaking from spots. When we first bought our fw, we stayed at the dealership overnight and right before we turned the ac on, it started raining, very humid all day and it rained most of the night. The next morning, we had condensation dripping from ceiling in the bathroom. It turned out to be a partially open vent (not leaking rainwater} letting in the humid air. If there is condensation forming on your ac, that's one thing, if it is leaking because of ac not draining properly I would call it water, even if it is condensate.

There are two types of A/C installation, The normal install the condensate just drips down on the roof and then runs off.. More on that in a second.

The other the water drips into a "Funnel" and from there is piped to the ground via a pipe or other type of "line" (Tubing) Or it can be dripped into a "Channel" that carries it to the edge of the roof (I am considering this, for later)

You can install a trim strip with a "J" channel on it that routes the water running off the roof to the front or rear of the RV, but frankly other than a major re-build (plumbing) that's about the only option.

NOTE: This is common on Flat Roof buildings as well.. And it causes all sorts of issues.

Air unit is designed for the condensate to drain outside on the roof.
Clear the path and the water will drain off properly.

Evap coil drip pan drain holes plugged....I enlarged mine so they didn't plug as easily

Roof gasket crushed too much and drip pan drain holes blocked

Evap Coil and return air filter dirty

Run A/C Fan on HIGH
Is it time for your medication or mine?

Sounds like the pan under the evaporator coil might not be draining (plugged up) and it's overflowing into the living space rather than draining to the roof. It probably needs a good cleaning.

Same thoughts here. The condensate should run out on the roof, not inside.
