We are upgrading to a Toy Hauler and trying to decide between the Forest River XLR and the Jayco Seismic. Anyone have knowledge on durability and quality of these. We are looking to live in it fulltime. 2 adults and 1 15yr old (he's there 2 weeks a month).

Within the last few years durability and quality control are a complete disaster. Go and inspect before even thinking of buying and bring along a couple extra set of eyes. Everything shiny and new can cloud a buyers vision that will most likely bite you in the cheeks down the road. Everything from non connected receptacles, loose water fittings, wood chips in the fresh water tank and water heater and piping, lack of caulking in the shower, missing or improperly caulked windows. Windows not installed level inn the openings, screws stripped holding window frames together, etc, etc. It's a real poop show. Bring an ladder and make sure to check the roof and all seals too. Fore warned is fore armed.

Compare features and specs. That is the most objective way to decide.
And FR XLRs come in 3 different โ€œmodelsโ€ so totally depends on which model as theyโ€™re not comparable feature wise, but may pretty much the same โ€œunder the skin.โ€
