Air Admittance Valve for RV

Hi, I think I've got a bad Air Admittance Valve under my kitchen sink. I went to Home Depot and bought a 1.5 - 2" AAV (the only one they had). The one in my KZ RV is much smaller.

Does anyone know what size it actually is, and where I could find a replacement for it?

I don't really have much room under the sink. the cheater valve actually hits the underside of the sink.

Plus we've still got the smell from the sink. Boo. I think I may have to tear the drain apart and see if we've got something in there.

The threads on the AAV in our KZ are 1 1/2". If it really is smaller, just get an adapter.

FWIW, I bought a replacement AAV for the one that failed in our KZ in less than year at Lowes. Well, that one failed too in a year.

I would suggest getting a high quality Oatey AAV or equivalent. The quality one cost quite a bit more tho.

Chris, that's exactly what I needed. Appreciate your help!

I've seen both the large type you are talking bout and smaller ones. Try to see if they have this one (if it will display for you).

Be sure to remove the 2" adapter on the new one if you are talking about the thread size/diameter. The existing plumbing should have a 1-1/2" fitting.

The valve diameter shouldn't matter.

The one I bought from Home Depot has a much larger diameter than the one I'm trying to replace.

The overall diameter doesn't effect the functionality. Are you having a fitment issue?

If you are talking about the threads, they should be 1 1/2" MPT.

Last year my vendor had them for $2. This year, a new model, $20.
