Hi,For those of you who have air bags, what pressure do you run in them, and what is the weight of your camper and tongue/pin weight? I know that the pressure that works best is a function of your individual set up (truck, trailer weight, pin weight, etc,) but I am just trying to get a feel for what people run.I have a one ton Ram and a 13.5k 5th wheel is about 2800 pound pin weight. I am running 45 pounds but still experimenting. This brings my truck up to about an inch below where it was before hooking up the trailer, but results in my trailer being a little bit "nose high" thanksMatt

Air bag pressure is load dependent. No one can tell you what is right for your situation.

You most likely DON'T need bags with that load. BUT they do help with ride. I used to leave 5psi in my bags unloaded and when I added my 4,500# pin the pressure went to 30psi. The truck sat level as yours should when loaded.Riding level will keep your truck on the overloads where it should be!!!

I put bags on my Ram 2500 for stability reasons. I have the coils in the rear and it doesn't feel as planted and my 12 2500 that had leafs. I run then at 20 psi with an 1800 lb pin plus another 250 lbs in the bed.

First pic is without bags, it was setting level. Second is with bags at 30psi loaded. Also added Bilstein's, the ride was dramatically improved!!! 2011 HD RAM Dually, with 4,500# pin.

My TT is approximately 9500-10000 loaded and 1200-1500 lb tongue weight.
I keep my bags at 20 psi for level towing.

I would agree, I run about 2,600# pin on a 2001 Ram 2500 and don’t have bags, do have Bilstein 5100 shocks and we do well .

I don't know the first thing about 5th wheels, but the pic made me curious. Is it OK to tow them with the nose way up like that? Looks like several inches of drop front to rear. Just wondering because I understand travel trailers should be close to level. Different beast?

5th wheel trailers should be level also. This puts even pressure on to the axles.
In travel trailers the out of level condition can lead to sway problems but that is usually not a worry with the 5th wheels. The main concern would be with wear and tear on the axle components and the tires. It may also contribute to a bouncing or jerking, called "chucking", problem that seems to be somewhat unique to 5th wheels.
