3/8" grade 70 safety chains are rated for 5400lbs each working load. That's what you'd typically find on a travel trailer like yours.
Many times people will just go to the hardware store and pick up something that "looks right" and end up with D-rings that are rated for something pitiful like 300lbs.
Each. After connecting one to the hitch, I'm not sure that they are big enough for the hooks, so it might be a moot point.
