Annoying lights at night... well.....

OK, returned home just fine from a 1600 mile round trip to Lake Briun State Park, Louisiana. By the way, this is one really nice State Park.

So, you know those annoying lights that people turn on at night and you just wish you could take a shot gun and blow them out? Well ... that didn't happen! No annoying lights at night at all this time. It was great!

But, my 5er has those annoying lights on the front, and normally leave them off, unless we are actually right there needing them for something. I don't completely understand why RV manufacturers are putting Las Vegas style lights on the front caps anyway. But, it is what it is, right?

So, I had opportunity to experiment with those lights. BUT ... NOT at the campground. While enroute! We very seldom travel after dark, but not this time. Daylight hours are just too short and we got caught in the dark on the road several times on this trip. So, I found a new use for those Las Vegas lights. It was absolutely awesome when I turned them on!



Yea, not at the park, on the road! I've seen semi-trucks all dazzled out with lights, so I though, WHY NOT? The amber color is almost a perfect match to the yellow running lights.

So, finally I found a way to turn on those annoying lights and end up not annoying anyone!

THe front lamps don't bother me too much.

But the scare lights... SOme folks leave 'em on all night.

I agree the more lights the better,they are amber so i see no problem running with them on.

Pretty sure that the extra lights on the lower part of the front cap are to be able to see to hitch/unhitch when it is dark out. On my trailer they are 4 short strings of white LED's and would definitely cause problems travelling with them on both for me, and those coming towards me.

Are they turned on and off from the truck, or do you have to use a switch in the trailer? That ought to tell you when they are intended to be used.

Legally the forward facing markers are amber, the rear ones red. I see rigs decked out with more lights than a Christmas tree and shake my head, the owner must be bored and like changing bulbs.:R

I do believe the MFG installed those front cap lights for that very reason....running them if traveling at night.

And the LEOs are NOT going to stop anyone for having those on....amber is nice

My 2007 NUWA only has 2 forward facing up at roof line....Red
With amber side markers at leading edge of front cap

Mine along with all side marker lamps and rear cap lights come on when I turn truck lights on....which is ALWAYS

Looks like a semi coming down the road. Like the amber, and actually have a purpose for traveling with them on. Anything to make you more visible after dark is beneficial.

The purple and blue that are the new rage are quite annoying. Guess people are afraid of the dark.

Even with the short days now, have to be parked before sun down. Eyes don’t work too well anymore.

Mine are white and I'm not sure of the legalities of running with them on.
