Any one flat tow a BMW?

I'm looking to replace my toad (Miata) with a BMW 335i with a manual trans. Any body tow one?No one said it was ok to tow the Miata or before that a MR2 so I'm not interested in recommendations. The car I'm looking at is a 2013 convertible. Bob

Well, a mini is built by BMW and they are towable 4 down. Not sure if the automatics are. And the electric minis are not.

Well since it's a 2013 model there is no worry about warranties or anything like that. I say hook it up, and pull it down the road. What's the worst that can happen, maybe a transmission gives up. That BMW / GETRAG transmission is only about $8,000 new, or maybe you can find good used one if needed.

I towed a 1991 Miata standard shift all over the country. What year is your Miata and is it standard or automatic?

As far as REMCO requiring a trailer for the BMW....they usually know their business.

Remco says "Must use a trailer" but as I stated earlier, no manual allowed flat towing for the Miata or the MR2 and I have had thousands of trouble free miles with each of them. I'm really wondering why "Don't tow". Bob

The manufacturer says....? That is the safe way...follow manufacturer's recommendation on four down towing.

Don't recall seeing a BMW on the dinghy towing guides. What's the manual of the car say?
