Any one use an air fryer??

Thank you. I guess I was asking about both. I thought they were maybe the same thing. I'm glad you cleared that up. ( I have NuWave induction cookers and love them)

So, why is either one any different then cooking in a convection oven ? The use heat and air circulation to cook the food. I use a convection toaster oven to cook my french fry's etc.

I realize that tastes is a subjective thing. But, does the food taste any different in a Air Fryer or NuWave oven then what it does in a toaster oven?

I think an air fryer is way more energy efficient, because the volume to be heated is much smaller than in a toaster oven (I have one of those forced air ovens, too.). Also the outcome is different. In the oven, the fries lay on a pan, and need to be turned to fry evenly.
This is not required in an air fryer, because the food lays in a fryer type basket.
I feel that the outcome of those two different food preparation devices is quite different.
