Anyone install a 2014 cherokee trailhawk blue ox baseplate

It now shows up on their web site. If anyone has one installed what is the deal with the safety cables? It shows in the installation some permanent ones attached to the frame?? It looks like two cables attached to one ring.

Hopefully someone can explain this.
  • My Cherokee just arrived today at our dealer. Tomorrow Leslie and I will be picking it up.

Our is one of the first Cashmere Cherokees out there. We have the 6 cyl, luxury, tow, sun roof, AD II.

We plan on using the Roadmaster Sterling with an SMI Air Force One.

We have a Trailhawk on order, should be arriving around the 20th of Feb. or thereabouts. We had the Roadmaster base plates for our Wrangler and going to use the same with the Trailhawk. Their plates are available as well.
Would really like to see your set up though as you seem to be ahead of us!!

How are you liking the Trailhawk?

Had it about two weeks. So far no problems. There is more road noise than the limited but that is due to the aggressive tires. Ours has the full sun roof. Didn't think we'd like it but we love it. I keep hitting the parking brake switch (electric) by accident as it's right behind the gear selector. I couldn't figure out why the car didn't want to move.

    Overall it's a great car.

Have you found the off button for the radio, I have to mute mine

I didn't think there is one? Just assumed the mute was it.
