It would help to know where it is located. Ocean is a pretty common name, and can be used in many states. Canyon - many of those in a lot of states too.
There is a Ocean Canyon "Resort" in California, I forget what city, but I would have rather camped on the beach in Pismo than stay free in that full hookup "Resort". At least they called themselves a resort. Personally I do not like camping that close to the neighbors. I would much rather be out at Quartzsite, where if someone pulls up 300' away you start to feel crowded in, and start looking for a desolate area.
The Ocean Canyon resort in Ramona CA was in much better shape, but still a bit run down. At one time they where both owned by the same person, but he died in the late 90's and both parks where sold. I have a membership for the Ramona park, and at one time, I was able to camp free in the Ocean Canyon park, but stayed there once. That was over 10 years ago, things might have changed, it has been a long time.
