- pianotunaNomad IIIHi,
Total useless. Her expectations. One gallon of fuel to run a 5500 watt generator all day? I don't think so! - SoundGuyExplorerYesterday my son was shooting some video of him making coffee. "Why?" I asked. :h His answer - people will watch anything, get enough views on YouTube and he gets paid for it! I guess he's right as only occasionally have I found anything even remotely useful on YouTube, mostly it's garbage like this. :R

Thanks for watching and giving a report.
about 8-10 seconds of the video was enough for me..... - phillygExplorer III lasted about two minutes. The nicest thing I can say is that she did not interest me.

They are out there and they cover everything from things like that video to hating people in FW and MH etc. I never knew it when we started traveling but there are more and more people out there that are basically the "Mobile homeless" and many of them have an attitude against anyone who has anything so lock your generator up. I just stumbled on that video and laughed because of how many of us on this site try to guide people into quieter generators.
They refer to those above themselves as glam mads. glam nomads. Maybe they cant comprehend that those below them probably look at them the same way. Duuhhh - Ron3rdExplorer III

X2, and if anyone bothers to listen to this lady's logic for the full video, you will understand. She's not talking about the majority of us on this forum. She's talking about the NOMADIC lifestyle. In California, we used to call them "desert rats", ie, the go way out in the Mojave desert to live, don't want to see any people, etc.
Her entire argument is why her loud, cheap generator is better than solar. And for her type of lifestyle, in the middle of nowhere, I agree. (At first I thought she was a cook in a meth lab)
Sure, her argument makes sense how her 5500 watt construction generator that she bought used for $200 is better than the 100 watts of solar she got "duped" into buying for $300.
Like she said, she makes it known that she's running her loud 5500 watt monster, SHE WAS THERE FIRST, and if you don't like it, go down the road.
If you enjoy that type of camping, it makes perfect sense.
Not my cup of tea. - Ralph_CramdenExplorer III watched the entire vid. What a hag.

YouTube has saved me many dollars by watching "How To Videos". I fixed the coupler between the motor and the transmission of my clothes washer myself after looking up the noise and watching a repair video on YouTube about it. I was getting ready to junk the washer out only yo find that it was a 30 dollar part and a 20 minute fix. I also fixed the broken agitator in my clothes washer the same way.
It is a great resource for people that like to fix their own stuff. Much cheaper then paying a repair man or buying a new every time something simple breaks.
Like everything else computerize these days you just have to learn how to use the search bar and find what you want and then skip the rest. - Boon_DockerExplorer IIIYes, YouTube does has some great stuff, but also has a fair bit of garbage. I have found a few videos that helped me a lot.
