Why? Happens a lot.
Over a decade ago some people from Calif were driving north out of Coeurdalene Id, their Toad had a flat and was causing sparks, the fire they started was several miles long.
People were trying to stop them, they ignored them (worried about "why").
The state of Idaho billed them for the fire.
This got written up in Motorhome and Trailer Life, as a cautionary note to RVers
Train also cause fires, the sparking from their brakes as started more then one.
