BAL Hide A Spare

Our Bighorn came with "hide a spare" mounted under the RV and between the frame rails as standard equipment. This keeps the tire out of the sun, easy to get at, and allows a lock to prevent "wingnuts", who grab anything that is not secured, from walking away with your spare.

We have one and we love it. Although it's not a BAL - it's ALKO and came originally on the trailer. It works beautifully and keeps the spare out of the way. Every time we've pulled it out - for maintenance or flat tires - it has worked perfectly.

I put our spare tire under the bed, it is out of the way, out of the sun and hopefully will never be needed. :)

I've one on order. Should be here very soon. I think its a splendid idea. Never liked a spare on the rear bumper and now I have a receiver hitch installed there is no room for a spare tire.
