BAL Hide A Spare

Have you installed one? Do you like it? Do you hate it? Where did you buy it and what did you pay?

I'm thinking of getting the spare off the bumper before it breaks it off!

Thanx
  • Our Bighorn came with "hide a spare" mounted under the RV and between the frame rails as standard equipment. This keeps the tire out of the sun, easy to get at, and allows a lock to prevent "wingnuts", who grab anything that is not secured, from walking away with your spare.

    Lakeside.
  • We have one and we love it. Although it's not a BAL - it's ALKO and came originally on the trailer. It works beautifully and keeps the spare out of the way. Every time we've pulled it out - for maintenance or flat tires - it has worked perfectly.
  • I put our spare tire under the bed, it is out of the way, out of the sun and hopefully will never be needed. :)
  • I've one on order. Should be here very soon. I think its a splendid idea. Never liked a spare on the rear bumper and now I have a receiver hitch installed there is no room for a spare tire.
