I have something similar.
The problem is that it won't work on a WD hitch. You need 2 or 3 inches of a straight 2x2 extension between the receiver and the start of the hitch.
I'm building a bracket so that mine will mount behind the propane bottles but clear of the batteries.
Yes, a jackknife could be an issue - but there are literally thousands of folks driving around with a bike rack between the TV and front wall of the TT.
It just means you have to be a bit extra careful - and always be aware of what you are towing and where it is turning.
