Brake buddy setup in vehicle

I am having problems getting the brake buddy to sit stable in the front floor. It has a tendency to move around. What have you used to support it against the front seat. This goes in a 2006 jeep lj.
  • On our 2014 Flex the brake box would not work sitting on the floor. My DH built a platform, cutting it out of wood to fit forward/back and side to side. He wrapped it in thin carpet. We carried it in the tub with the brake. It worked perfectly.

  • Have you tried moving the seat forward to help brace the unit from moving?
  • I built an "L" shaped stand out of two 18"x18" (about) pieces of plywood and two metal L brackets which I carpeted. set it against seat cushion and it held steady.

  • I have a 2009 GMC Canyon with BB. If I were to keep using it as a Towed, I would put the BB in the electronic hazardous waste and buy an Invisibrake. Not that it is a bad product but in a 2009 Canyon, it sucks. Had the Invisibrake in our prior rig, best I've had.
  • The seat has to be firm against the handle of the BB. BUT, not enough for brake lights to show. We contacted BB, customer service and they actually sent us a piece of molded plastic for free to go on seat which did the job. They have excellent customer service.

Setting the BB up used to be my late husband's "job." He would set it in, connect it all up and then move the seat up as I described in first paragraph.
