When all hooked up and I pull slide the brake controller to see my gain setting it shows Trailer Disconnected prompt on the truck screen. Lights and brakes seem to work but this prompt can't be right???Anyone?
Thanks?

Hit it with some cotact cleaner first, then the grease.

Blew some compressed air through the 7 pin on the trailer but truck was not home at the time . Thought about some dielectric grease to lube all connections.
Thanks for replies .

I had that problem when I had an F150 and also a Chevy 2500 several years back. I fought with them for months. In both instances, I ended up replacing the plugs with after market plugs I bought from etrailer and the problem went away.

I asked him to do one thing and he didn't do any of them.

X2 You said lights seem to work? Check at night they either do or don't.
