Vehicle laws tend to be statewide however local zoning laws could limit where it can be placed.

Motorhome does not have to be licensed in FL as long as it's not in FL longer than 6 months in a year.

But if you own an RV lot in FL, I can't think of any good reason not to register it there.

Putting your MH on a vacant lot may be allowed in some rural counties. In some not so rural you will need 5+ acres. In most other counties you can forget it unless it's in a RV Park.

I would consider purchasing a lot in an RV community. Yes you can live in the RV in Florida if the RV is registered in Florida. The problem may be getting it registered. See link above for rules.

There are plenty of RV parks where you can buy an Rv lot but not too easy to find a place where the zoning would allow you to live on property in the RV.

We have many condo RV parks here in Florida. Some of them are very, very nice. But be aware, there are additional monthly fees involved that can add significantly to your monthly expenses. Where ever you park, you will need power and water, PLUS sewage. All of these will require local permits and that could be your major stumbling block. Be sure to check in advance of purchasing anything. Chuck

You would be better off purchasing an RV lot. We have found them for sale from anywhere from $100,000 on down, depending on how far inland you want to be.

Can do it in our neighborhood. Rural area. Depends greatly the County and area within the County. Florida like most States have many different rules depending where you are!

I know for a fact, that you can't do it in Monroe county, (the Keys).

I looked into it.
