Cabinet Care

Our oak cabinet doors are wood...the rails and stiles I suspect are not but rather that photo stuff!

I used some Old English Lemon Oil on all the doors and it seemed to do a good job both cleaning and maintaining the wood.

What does everyone do with the rest of the "woodwork?" Don't think I can oil it. Anyone use any type of cleaning product on the stiles and rails?
  • I use furniture wax (popular spray wax brand) on my cabinets-all parts of them. No issues at all.

I don't believe the stiles and rails are covered with urethane.
  • (Little bit south of you). Once a year we also use the same stuff and seems to be enough. All woodwork gets a wipe down and a good polishing. Humidity takes it toll, if you run a dehumidifier wood gets dried out. Putting oil on helps in years to come keeping woodwork looking great. I use it on all woodwork.
