- LwiddisExplorer III saw the news reports. Tragic. Did the campers receive a warning to evacuate?
- Retired_JSOExplorerHereLong way from Asheville, 106 miles.
- Guy_RoanExplorerI'm near Asheville, and that is no where near here.
It was terrible and many trailers and RV's were washed away.
One lady who was rescued said she was in her trailer as it was being carried along by the flood and the only thing that saved here was it got caught between two trees and then she was rescued just before the water completely covered her trailer.
Guy - ferndaleflyerExplorer IIISorry about the mislocation. That was what the local TV said so I assumed they knew. Don't help much to give a location no one ever heard of so Asheville may have been the only recognizable place near this. The TV news last night said they found the 1 year old child dead.

Years back Feb 1992 the Ventura river
Flooded the Ventura RV Park and part of the town, RVs were washed down river to the Pacific Ocean which is only blocks away, I remember watching this live on TV
