Camp Host Position Michigan's UP, Les Cheneaux Islands
Loons Point RV Park and Campground, a small summer campground located near Cedarville, in Michigan's Eastern Upper Peninsula, has an opening for a camp host couple for summer 2018. The position is from May 2018 through September 2018. In exchange for volunteering 2 days a week, camp hosts are provided a full hook-up site with water, sewer and 30 amp electric, free laundry, internet, fire wood, kayaks and canoes. A boat slip for a small fishing boat is also included.
There are a variety of tasks to perform: handyman, cleaning and maintaining a campground, landscaping, general office duties with reservations and sales, helping campers and assisting with arrivals and departures. Must have your own RV and live on site.
The campground has 60 camping sites (RV, tent and 2 cabins) and is located on the Les Cheneaux waters, a part of northern Lake Huron. This location offers excellent fishing, kayaking, boating and swimming opportunities. This is a classic water front campground with a beautiful view of the Les Cheneaux Islands and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Cedarville (1.3 miles away) is the closest town and has a grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store and post office. Larger retail stores are available in Sault Sainte Marie, which is 45 minutes away.
