Camping World Hammond La

CW is flooded. CW had their RVs parked on berms and that may not have been good enough. It appears that they were able to move some of their high end product out to higher ground before it hit. South La is all water. More rain and higher water than any recorded event. In most parishes (county) in south La all the schools, courthouses, fire stations, law enforcement and 911 centers are flooded. What a mess. Personally we are lucky so far. Water is still rising in some areas. Interstates are closed (10 and 12).
  • 30+ inches just north of BR. 18-24 inches around Lafayette. While BR got 14.85 inches. Southern Mississippi drains through the area between Covington and Baton Rouge. One of the rivers is 15-18 feet above flood stage. People are being lifted from their roofs by helicopters. Wall to wall 18 wheelers stranded on islands in the interstates.
  • Sdianel
I would be ver surprised if they are not under. The interstate is closed in that area. Interstate is closed from Baton Rouge to Covington. Per channel 2 in BR.
  • Hoping all are safe. Over a foot of rain at this point. Prayers for all.
  • What a shame. Willmar MN had 10 inches of rain Thurs. Hope S La dries out and a recovery can begin. Can't imagine what folks are going through.
