Camping World survey by RV Travel (not so good)

The truth about Camping World

My personal experience with Camping World has been only as a Good Sams member to get the discount on purchases and campsites. Generally I buy my camping stuff on Amazon an only on occasion buy stuff from their store, usually RV specific parts I can't find somewhere else.

We used to buy gear from Camping World until we bought a Camper from Camping World in Harrisburg. The worst experience ever. I even wrote to Marcus for help but I got zero help. Then I read where Marcus said he didn't want any customers who voted for Trump.Since then we haven't bought anything from them. So I believe the survey.

34 years in the auto parts business at the dealership level, and your comment is 100% spot on. I had a dealer principal mention that very thing about service being a waste of space, could sell more cars. His service absorption was 125%+, so each car he sold was almost 100% pure profit.
I would agree that to be the case with rv dealerships also. The purpose of a rv service department is to pdi the product and to repair transport damage.

Thanks for sharing this thought, Optimistic Paranoid! Good to keep this in mind when dealing with either RV or car dealerships.

The dealership we bought our MH from recently got bought out by CW. We're happy CW has so far kept the repair techs, service people, all those who save us when we bring in our MH for help. As to the retail side, well it's pretty dead these days; the previous dealership was generally crawling with customers all over the place; now there are more sales folks than customers. Since we're not in the market for a newer camper, we have no idea how that works with them or how good they are. We just deal with our buddies from the old dealership.
