Can I do without remote start?

Start and stop it from inside, using the remote. An extended run tank, so when it is really hot, it will run well past the am. probably into the next day if necessary.

Please educate me...instead of unpluging the trailer could you just turn off the breaker? I would buy a remote generator to be able to start the generator from the inside. 😄

At 826 for a remote start champ 3100, I may have talked myself into a generator. At that price point and what it will do, I'm thinking it is a no brainer. And if I continue reading reviews and researching I may never get one. Leaves money for other things. Supergen tent among them. Thanks for peoples input

The new Champion 3100i will have remote start. The current version being sold for less to make room for the new model does not have remote start.

I just got a Champion 3500/4000 with remote start. As long as I use the remote the generator delays the load when started and cuts the power before shutting down. When using the pull or electric start at the generator, the delay isn't used and I have to unplug the trailer before starting or stopping the generator.

We rarely use the generator due to the hassle but now with the remote we might be more likely to since it's just a push of a button.

I don't think Champion makes an inverter generator with electric start but if they do Champion says to always unplug the power cord when starting an invertor generator and wate for the green light befor pluging back in.
