Can somebody recommend a really comfortable camp chair?

Like most people here we own or have owned several different kinds of portable folding camp chairs, bag chairs etc...none of them are really comfortable but it hasn't mattered until now. We have downsized to a smaller trailer that has a so-called jackknife sofa which is unbearably uncomfortable and can't be removed. If We could discover a folding chair that is truly comfortable that would solve the problem. We just need something we could sit in for 2 or 3 hours. Note: at this point we are more like "camping in an rv" than rving and that sofa is atrocious...

I've had one of these for a couple of years and like it. It's not a lounge chair: it's good for sitting and reading and talking, which is what I wanted. The "zero-gravity" designs are real great for snoozing, though!

This chair here!

I have 3 of these and love them, cupholder, storage pocket, padded head rest and it reclines a little.

I swear by this chair, the Cabela's High Back Ergo Chair:

Oddly, if you search the Cabela's website, it doesn't come up under "folding chairs" or "camp chairs", you have to type in the whole correct name.

The zero gravity are great for laying back and lounging/ napping. I donโ€™t like them for sitting up talking, etc. We had some of the old web style lawn chair frames and ran across some of the webbing at Ace. We love the way they sit and they are super light. I think theyโ€™ve started selling them again but not sure if frame is light aluminum.

You can get knock-offs at Costco or Sam's Club for about 1/2 of that price. I have almost worn mine out !

Bonus - They fold down quite flat !

I think you need to go to some stores and try out the chairs. What is wonderfully comfortable to one person is horribly uncomfortable to another.

Best I've found so far is a zero gravity lounger, but it is not perfect for me; it doesn't support my lower back the way I'd like.

In my next trailer, I think I want to remove the dinette and add a Benchmaster recliner and ottoman. They are inexpensive and comfortable.

We tried a lot of this style and found these to be the best. Very comfortable.

You could have a carpenter build a frame to cover the water tank, get some good quality 6" foam, and upholster some cushions for it. Have the back of the frame angled so it's comfortable to sit on.

I have to ask what keeps you from removing the sofa? Mine went right out the door in my Jayco.

To remove it would uncover the top of the grey water holding tank which is a few inches above the floor...so that one could not use the vacated floor area to place a recliner or better chair....also exposes the slide motor and a lot of wires (that problem could be solved)
