The manual to our KZ trailer when we had it said to use draincleaner as a maintenance item.
I was going to say the same thing. Our KZ manual also says to use Drano. If using a competitor's product, make sure the label says it does not attack metal or plastic. Drano says all their products are okay with metal & plastic. We've been using Liquid Drano a couple of times a year for 3 seasons now without issue to clean the tanks. If using this and the label doesn't say septic safe, do not dump it into a private onsite septic system because it could kill bacteria in the disposal field and do serious damage. Even if septic safe, it's still not a very good idea. "Max Gel" Drano works on hair. Seals in dump valves are santroprene, not rubber, and not damaged by Drano.
Those little zip-it snakes work great and are cheap - would try that first before resorting to Drano. You might be able to get some idea where the clog is by watching the water go into the drain. If it slows down or stops quickly, the clog is probably in the P-trap. If it takes longer, the clog could be downstream somewhere. Hair buildup behind a drain cover is common and can sometimes be before reaching the P-trap.
Don't forget to report back after you've fixed it on what you found. :)
