Car trailer

We bought a stacker trailer and put 10 ply 19.5 tires on it. Less than 2500 miles in weโ€™ve had 2 blowouts. Iโ€™m very frustrated after spending $2500 to not have issues. Falken tires. Iโ€™ve slowed down to 65 last two travel days no blowouts, but spend as much time looking in mirror as ahead! Trailer isnโ€™t close to max weight. Less than 12k. Ideas?

I belong to a couple FB RV groups. Same thing happens there.

Cummins12V98: you are correct, I could not find any Falken tires in 19.5 that has that low of ply rating.
Maybe I am looking in wrong place for what the OP has.

I am willing to bet the info is completely WRONG. OP doesn't seem to want to respond. Nice to see a pic of the sidewall.

19.5 tires are common for equipment trailers.
It is surprising to see them on a car trailer.

Most stackers websites I had a looky shows 16" ST E.... with a 17.5" tires/wheels options for up to 21000 gvwr units.

Commercial grade 19.5" tires depending on brands...tire lines within a brand.....speed rating can be down to 62 mph.

Heavy commercial grade tires especially in a trailer position are happier at sidewall pressures for 50k-60k miles of trouble free service

I have a 36' 21000 gvwr GN triaxle stock trailer with 7k axles and Sailun S637 load G with over 38-40k miles on them. On many 400-500 miles runs never had any issues even with 19500-20000 lb axle loads.

A stacker has very tall sides. In high side winds this can multiply weight transfer to the off side tires causing higher operating temps.

Falken tires are the cheapest I could find when shopping. Maybe that's your problem.

I have been racing for 60+ years. Towed everything from open trailer to 3 axel stackers and was probably over loaded 1/2 the time. Tire pressure is important, check it often and make sure all tires are the same. BUT, one year I bought a new 28ft enclosed and even with all the precautions I blew 9 tires in one summer. Never could find a reason for the failures. Sold it and got my first 3 axel. I currently have a 32ft enclosed 3 axel that has never had a failure. Tires, on these with 15in wheels I use Goodyear Wranglers from Wal Mart. When one wears down I get 6 new ones. With this current 3 axel and my 20ft Featherlite open I run 40lbs of air. No formula it just seems to work....check it often.

Slowed down from what speed? As Jimnlin, need more info. What are the tire specs for load, speed ratings, pressure. What pressures were you running?
