Yes, that's why they need to emphasize that we get vaccines as much for others as for ourselves. With the flu, whether mild, severe or don't know we have it, they figure we infect 1.2 others. This new one they figure 2.2-2.5 but obviously they don't have as much data as with flu. The cruise ship was 2.2 FWIW. Interestingly measles is much more contagious, as low as 3.7 but as high as 203. That's why school systems have lost patience with the anti-vaxxer parents. There will be some who refuse the vaccine, if and when, but I hope they'll be tested and monitored.
