Cleaning exterior of fiberglass unit

How do you clean the outside of your unit? What cleaners, protectants or wax do you use? How often?

I have seen to use dryer sheets to remove bugs from the front. Do you wash the unit first? Is ther dryer sheet wet or dry? Thanks!

I use Mcguires car wash liquid (or any other brand on sale) that we buy at Wang Mart along with my extendable RV brush from Costco (highly recommended). I use Aerospace 303 Protectant on the decals for UV protection and NuFinish on the fiberglass.
  • I really like Wash and Wax All. I use it on the coach and the cars. You do not need to use water to apply it and it is very fast and easy to use.

I found a pad that I use on bugs and it works pretty well. Here is a link to it:

I have tried the liquids and they have not worked for me.
  • Use dryer sheets wet, then wash off white film tesidue. You can use used sheets.

Pretend it's a big Corvette and care for accordingly.
  • I wash mine before, and after each trip. I use Suave Hair Shampoo, cause I don't want to use dishwashing soap.
I wax it once a year with a a good cleaner wax. I use MeQuires
