Confused about power awning
My power awning only works if the trailer is plugged into the shore or hooked up to my TV. That can't be right? Can it? If so I just want to say that's stupid.... But more realistically what can it be...

Will not work with ignition key on...
The O/P mentioned it works if hooked to his TOW VEHICLE, so he has a trailer. No ignition.
That said, I agree with the battery questioners. Most likely you have it turned off (Disconnected) and thus no power to awning less from an "outside" source. but the battery could be toast.
