Cool new stuff

Went to a local RV show yesterday. Ok not really. It was only one dealer having a show but it was cool to see some of the new features. Sandpiper 5ers have these really cool heavy plastic trays mounted underneath that slide out for storage. Would make an awesome auxiliary battery box. You could easy get I am betting 8 or 10 batteries in one of them. And there is one for each side. Imagine the dry camping trip with that setup. Some interesting floor plans for some of the TTs too. I was surprised at how small they are doing the toyhauler thing with some of these too.
  • Just remember, the more batteries to charge, the longer it will take to charge them.
  • No these trays were on the outside. The slider frame was mounted to the 5er frame underneath. All you would have to do is drill a hole in the top of the box and run wires up to your power station. Too simple. I really wish I would have taken a photo of it.
You can see it in the gallery of their page. http://www.forestriverinc.com/FifthWheels/SandpiperSelect/default.aspx?page=gallery#
