Covers for Lawn Chairs on RV Ladder Carrier

My wife and I have a couple of larger zero gravity lawn chairs that won't fit into our storage compartments, so we were thinking of getting one of the lawn chair carriers that attach to the roof ladder. I know that I have seen advertisements in the past for covers one can put over chairs while on a ladder chair carrier to keep them clean, but I have searched a number of RV accessory suppliers, including Camping World, and cannot find any products like this. General internet seaches turn up all kinds of chair covers, but nothing for use while on a carrier like this.

Does anyone have such a product or know of a source?

Thanks.
  • How about something like this

    Lawn Chair Bag

You might need to make your own holes for the carrier, but the chairs would be covered.
I used to carry two chairs with covers made for the rack, but soon found if weather is nasty they get wet inside no matter what you do. Check the bags and dry them out OFTEN.
  • If they fit inside a large green trash bag, that would be my choice for an inexpensive solution.
  • we have similar chairs that we carry on a rear ladder carrier. wanting to protect them from the elements and road grime we bought the kind of zippered bag you're looking for from Camco (this was 25-years ago). after 20+ years the bag started to fall apart. while shopping for a replacement I discovered that Camco discontinued their large chair bag a while back so I took our old bag to a friend who made a replacement for us. let us know if you find one.
  • An upholstery shop may be able to make you a custom cover.
  • After trying many different types of covers I 'finally' found what works.

A portable motorcycle cover. You can find them at walmart.

It's a light weight material AND it comes in a real nice blue and white color that you won't be embarrassed to have hanging on the back of your RV! And it fits the reclining chairs perfectly.

You can buy more expensive ones in different colors and materials also just google motorcycle covers.

This is the one I bought. It folds up real small and flat for rv bay storage.

FYI I don't make my links clicky anymore. I found that is what sends me to prove I am not a robot captcha wack a mole.
