Dental Insurance ?

We got Delta throught AAA, costs 214 per quarter for the 2 of us. I have run the numbers and it more that pays for itself

I have the same pay out first year not that great gets better as time goes on. Happy with it. Dentist as a whole have gone wacky with there pricing so just about anything helps.

I don't know what we pay. It comes out of dh's pension along with vision and medical. Can't be much though. Ours is $1750 each, best to get things done at the end of the year. We had the choice of HMO but for some reason HMO dentist ended up charging for anything they could find that wasn't on the list.

DH and I bought ins. one year.....had it for 6 months, went in and had teeth checked. Neither of us had ANY problems. We cancelled the ins. We're headed to AZ.....we'll get our teeth checked in Los Algodonas.

Yes 1500 each or 3000 for $857 a year

I dropped all dental insurance when I found I could fly to Yuma, go to Algodones and get all my dental work done for less than the copay from the insurance, including the airfare and hotel room. On top of that, the dental care is better and light years faster. Get a cap or crown in an hour or two, not over a two month period. A root canal, 20 minutes. The only way I lose money on the deal is if I also spend a day or two at the casino.

I'm retiring in November. I have a check up with my dentist right before I retire. He's one of the most honest people I've ever dealt with, and I know he won't steer me wrong when I ask him about a policy for when I retire. I'll message you when I talk to him and let you know what his thoughts are.
