Yes, a very good year as we did much the same as the OP... three months in Florida and then 7000 miles, 20 states in 58 days ending up at the balloon fest too. Could not leave until mid/late August so we did more miles in fewer days than normal. In hindsight we should have left off going to CA...very disappointing with all the drought, fires, smoke and NO Yosemite Falls plus expensive fuel. Also did an Alaskan cruise and three weeks in Europe. Makes up for last year where we mainly did our snowbird thing in WPB.
We left out Yosemite after hearing the very thing you commented about. The beetles have destroyed many trees, Drought and no falls made us stay away and go on to Nevada without a stop in the park. The Redwoods on the other hand were very cool
