Digital torque wrench adapter

I saw a digital torque wrench adapter at Harbor Freight and a guy that was buying one said how great they were.....I just don't know....I have a mechanical one that has to have the tension reset every time I use it. I wonder if the digital would be accurate and easier to use....

Accurate or not, the problem with digital or dial torque wrenches is you have to be able to see the readout to use them. Parallax can be a problem with accurately reading needle indicators and LCD's might not be very legible if read at an angle.

Many that I looked at have an audible alert when the torque you set into it is reached. Just push (or pull) till you hear the beep.

Saw an ad recently for a digital(?) TQ wrench (forgot brand, but not HF).

One of the claims to fame, was no need to zero it out.

Not unusual for the Chinese HF suppliers to mfg a "knock off" of the latest and greatest tools.

Keep an eye out for it (the name brand) - could have been Home Depot, Lowe's, Craftsman, etc.

Harbor Freight has never screamed 'quality' to be.
Have I bought things from there....YES and most were exactly what I bought-cheap junk

I'll stick to my old click torque wrench. I don't need precise torque for what I use it any more on. And if I needed precise torque that gizmo wouldn't be want I would buy.
