Just got over the Eclipse, and I was just being a SA. Agree with all the other posters, but it seems that there are not many of the newer cars that are towable. With your rig, you should be able to tow about anything that is towable. With our little rig, we have to have something that is light-weight.

We refer to ours a dingy all the time.

Even my light switches for the outside lights say 'Port' or 'Starboard'. Not a far stretch to call the tow vehicle a 'dingy'.

Don't let the word police bother you. What you tow behind a motorhome can be called what ever you want to call it. For example I have seen and used a number of these over time depending on my mood: tow car, towed car, dingy, toad, frog, push car, and probably a couple of others at some point! Words are to communicate and you communicated!

do NOT totally rely on any third party source as the final word. always check the owner's manual under towing behind a motorhome or recreational towing. you must see that the exact/specific one you are looking at will tow. do not get something that needs conversion, tranny lube pump, etc. to tow.

Start here.

You may already have a dinghy.

My informal poll (looking at every RV that goes by to see what they're towing) indicates that most people tow a Honda CR-V or some version of a Jeep.

Be aware that 2014 was the last year of CR-Vs that are towable 4 down.
